Osprey Nest Webcam

Welcome to the 20th year of the Conanicut Island Raptor Project!!!  During this time hundreds, if not thousands, of people have enjoyed watching our nest cam.  Thank you all for watching!  A special thank you to the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority for their continued support of this effort!

We had a very successful 2024 Osprey nesting season, fledging three young osprey. Hopefully, 2025 will be a great year for osprey watching.

Our osprey pair should be returning from their southern “vacation” soon; so keep checking our nest webcam.

Other Notes:

Osprey born several years ago will be returning this year and will be looking for nesting sites. We did erect one new nest platforms this spring at a private property on Beavertail.

Nest sites on Conanicut Island have increased every year with twenty-six known sites available for 2025. Not bad since we only had one in 2005!
